Applies to the ServeApps website and to all ServeApps apps: SelfServe, CartServe and UpServe.

Terms of Service

Effective 8 September 2026 · ServeApps, a brand of Grumspot Ltd

These terms are the agreement between you (the merchant, “you”) and ServeApps, a brand of Grumspot Ltd (“ServeApps”, “we”), for the use of our Shopify apps SelfServe, CartServe and UpServe, and of the serveapps.com website. Installing an app or using the site means you accept them. If you install on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it.

The service

ServeApps provides Shopify apps that add functionality to your store: self-service order editing and cancellations (SelfServe), a configurable cart drawer (CartServe), and add-to-cart upsell popups (UpServe). Each app installs through the Shopify App Store, runs inside your Shopify admin and storefront, and depends on Shopify’s platform and APIs. Features may be added, changed or retired; we will give reasonable notice for changes that materially reduce functionality you rely on.

Installation and account

  • You need an active Shopify store and must grant the API access scopes an app requests. We use them only to provide the features described.
  • You are responsible for the people you give access to your Shopify admin and for keeping your credentials safe.
  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.

Plans, trials and billing

  • SelfServe offers paid plans billed through Shopify Billing on your Shopify invoice. SelfServe is free up to 25 orders a month; paid tiers start with afree trial; you are charged only after it ends and only if you keep the app installed. Uninstalling stops future charges; partial periods are not refunded unless the law requires it.
  • CartServe and UpServe are currently offered on a fully free plan with no usage caps. We may introduce paid plans later; existing merchants will be told at least 30 days in advance and will never be charged without approving a Shopify charge.
  • Prices are listed on the Shopify App Store and exclude taxes, which Shopify may add to your invoice.
  • If a charge fails, Shopify may restrict the app until it is settled.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the apps for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful to shoppers, including misleading offers or hidden charges;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, copy, resell or interfere with the apps or their infrastructure;
  • use the apps to collect data you are not entitled to collect, or in breach of Shopify’s terms or applicable privacy law;
  • exceed reasonable use in a way that degrades the service for other merchants.

We may suspend an app for a store that breaches these rules, after notice where practical.

Your responsibilities

  • You decide how the apps are configured: editing windows, cancellation rules, discounts, offers and designs. You are responsible for those decisions and for the accuracy of your store content.
  • You are the controller of your shoppers’ data and must have a privacy policy that covers the processing our apps perform for you. Our privacy policy describes that processing.
  • You must comply with consumer protection, pricing and distance-selling rules that apply to your store, including where order changes or upsells affect what a shopper pays.

Data and privacy

We process store and shopper data only to provide the apps, as described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms and includes our commitments as your processor. We honour Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks and delete store data 30 days after uninstall.

Intellectual property

The apps, website, designs, code and content are owned by Grumspot Ltd or its licensors. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the apps on your store while these terms are in force. Your store content, brand assets and data remain yours; you give us the permission needed to display and process them so the apps can work. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the products without obligation to you.

Shopify and third parties

The apps depend on Shopify. Shopify outages, API changes or policy changes may affect the apps, and Shopify’s own terms govern your use of its platform. We are not responsible for third-party services you connect, such as Shopify Flow, email or analytics tools.

Warranties and disclaimers

We work hard to keep the apps accurate and available, but they are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or any particular revenue, savings or conversion outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ServeApps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to an app or the site is limited to the fees you paid us for that app in the 12 months before the claim (and to EUR 100 for free plans). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify ServeApps against third-party claims arising from your store content, your configuration of the apps, or your breach of these terms or of applicable law.

Termination

  • You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law or by Shopify, or if we discontinue an app, with reasonable notice where possible.
  • On termination your right to use the app ends; sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and indemnity survive. Data is deleted per the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the apps or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the apps after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Grumspot Ltd is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the courts of that country, unless mandatory consumer law in your country gives you additional protection.
